On March 17, 2008 - Intel Corporation announced the 35 companies that will receive Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding commitment to quality and performance excellence. These suppliers provided products and services deemed essential to Intel's business success in 2007. They excelled at meeting and exceeding high expectations and tough performance goals to distinguish themselves from the thousands of suppliers that work with Intel. Winners will be honored at a ceremony in Burlingame, Calif. on March 18. Winners of the PQS award include: AceCo Precision Manufacturing; Asyst Technologies, Inc.; Cabot Microelectronics Corp.; Daifuku Co., Ltd.; Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; DEK International GmBh; Delta Design, Inc.; Dow Corning Corporation; Enplas Semiconductor Peripheral Corporation; Harbor Electronics, an ECT Company; Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Indium Corporation; JSR Corporation; KES Systems & Service (1993) Pte Ltd.; Linde Electronics, a member of the Linde Group; Lotes; Munters Corporation; Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; Nichicon Corporation; Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd. (NDK); Nikon Corporation; Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation; NuFlare Technology, Inc.; Richtek Technology Corporation; Rofin-Baasel; Rosendin Electric; Securitas Security Services USA, Inc.; Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd.; STATS ChipPAC Ltd.; Tektronix Inc.; The Hibbert Group; Tokyo Electron Limited; Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd.; Tyco Electronics; and Veolia Environmental Services. Their top-notch performance has made them leaders in their respective industries and we are proud to be associated with them." "We're especially pleased this year to recognize these suppliers due to their significant contribution to Intel's ramp of the world's most advanced 45nm manufacturing process and industry-leading assembly and test technologies," said Robert Bruck, vice president Technology and Manufacturing Group and general manager of Technology Manufacturing Engineering. "These suppliers are industry-recognized leaders committed to innovation, affordability and high-velocity business practices." The PQS awards are part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement process that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must meet certain criteria in such areas as performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technological and responsiveness goals.
